Product Description Create more space in your cluttered bathroom with the Wall Mount Hairdryer by Jerdon®. The unit easily mounts to your wall and the powerful 1600 watt hairdryer plugs straight into the base, hotel-style. An automatic shut-off feature turns the dryer off when placed into the base. The dryer is equipped with 2 speeds and 3 heat settings. The removable air intake grille allows for easy and safe cleaning. Part of the First Class® line of products, this hair dryer has safety in mind. A built-in ALCI (Appliance Leakage Current Interrupter) detects electrical faults and shuts the dryer off.

Purchased another Jerdon 1600W October 26, 2005 D.S. (Upland, CA) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
I bought our first Jerdon 1600W wall mount 5 years ago. It was heavily used by my teen daughter and, under those circumstances, lasting 5 years is pretty good. When it finally died, I wanted to replace with same, since the holes were already in the wall, plus it helps reduce counter clutter to have a wall-mounted hairdryer. So far so good on the second one, which has been used daily for for a month so far. I expect to get another 5 years out of this one.
Dryest hair on the block May 2, 2008 |\/|4rk 7w41n (Ph1||yP4 |)0n7(h4) 21 out of 23 found this review helpful
This was a replacement for a Conair unit that looked and operated practically identically, until one day, against the wishes of the manufacturer's lawyers, the Conair was submersed in the sink.
The shock protection device seemed to work, as evidenced by my mortality. (My mortality being inferred by this review).
As to the Jerdon unit. Starting with wet hair I tested the unit by moving the slide switch from the OFF position to the HIGH position and aiming the nozzle at the wet hair while simultaneously brushing. Within minutes my hair was dry. Several minutes later my hair was extremely dry, and my head was hot. The test was terminated.
Strengths: Cheap, works well, will probably not kill you if you drop it in the sink.
Weaksnesses: Prolonged use may elevate brain temperature.
Great Hair Dryer September 21, 2005 E. Rogers (NC) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Owned one for years. Paid twice this price for my old one. Needed 2 more for second home. Had to order one for a friend after she saw my old one. Keeps dryer always accessable. Never in the way since it has it's own place. Ordered 3 this time.
Great hair dryer for an uncluttered bathroom February 23, 2006 The Engineer (Columbus, OH) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Well, I finally got tired of the "clutter" associated with my wife's hair dryer on the bathroom counter and started looking for wall mounted units. At the time, the Jerdon 1600W had all good reviews and was one of the least expensive options. We liked its clean and symmetric design better than its competitors. Anyhow, after 6 weeks of daily use, it still works fine--according to my wife. It has plenty of power and does have a switch on the handle for off/low/med/high. If it is on when you try to hang it onto the wall base, it automatically flips the switch to the 'off' position. Most importantly (to me) the bathroom looks clean and uncluttered and I can use the countertop once again. The only thing that seems a little strange in my home bathroom (rather than a hotel) is that "First Class" is printed on the handle (as can be seen in the photo).
Good hair dryer for the price March 21, 2007 R. Richardson (South Haven, MI, United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have purchased four Jerdon wall mount hair dryers - one for my home and three for our lake house. They are dependable and affordably priced.
